- Free plan or free tier
- Works with AWS
AI coding assistant in the editor and on GitHub that writes, explains and fixes code, including Terraform, YAML and shell scripts.
GitHub Copilot is GitHub's AI coding assistant. It suggests code as you type in editors such as VS Code and JetBrains IDEs, answers questions in a chat panel, and can take on a task as an agent that edits files across a repository and opens a pull request for review.
For platform teams it is useful on the files that fill infrastructure repositories: Terraform modules, Kubernetes manifests, Helm values, GitHub Actions workflows and the shell scripts that glue them together. It can explain an unfamiliar module, draft a new resource from a description, or suggest a fix for a failing workflow. Treat its output like any other change: run plan, read the diff and let review and policy checks catch mistakes before anything reaches production.
